Compliance

The Federal Americans with Disabilities Act was enacted in 1990 to eliminate discrimination against people with disabilities. One of the guidelines set forth is that a wall mounted light fixture located between 27″ and 80″ above the floor may not protrude more than 4″ from the wall. Look for the ADA logo throughout the catalog to see our huge selection of ADA compliant fixtures!

As an Energy Star partner, ASL has determined that all fixture styles in this catalog can be manufacture to meet Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency. When requesting a quote or ordering Energy Star fixtures please add “ES” to the end of your model number. Your fixtures will then be manufactures to meet Energy Star Specifications and will bear the Energy Star label.

All ASL fixtures are inspected and certified to comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) that was developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). They are tested according to accepted national standards under controlled laboratory conditions to insure trouble-free operation.

The UL logo is a mark of reliability. All ASL fixtures are tested, approved and carry the Underwriters Laboratory label for safe installation in dry, damp or wet locations – as specified.
